Kisvárda and its surroundings offer many opportunities for those who want to play sports. Both amateur and professional athletes can find the necessary conditions and sports fields, and we also provide services that satisfy all needs, as well as the organization of training camps.

MOVE IN KISVÁRDA! - SPORTS OPPORTUNITIES FOR ADULTS

SOCCER
Soccer has a long tradition in Kisvárda. The team of our city, Kisvárda Master Good, is in the highest class of the Hungarian championship, whose brand new home is the New Kisvárda Stadium. In the castle garden, located in the immediate vicinity of Várda Sport Hotel, next to the imposing stadium, there are grass, artificial grass and indoor training fields for amateur and professional teams. The high-quality fields satisfy all needs and are suitable for organizing a short preparation program for the teams that come to us, and, in addition, all the conditions are given for participating in a longer training camp. HANDBALL
The women’s team of the Kisvárda Handball Club has been a key member of the elite field of Hungarian handball for several years. In addition, we can boast of many successes in the men’s field and in the field of youth. There are several sports halls in our city for the professional and amateur handball teams that are representatives of this sport. The facilities located in several parts of the city, for a few minutes’ walk from Várda Sport Hotel, serve the development of the sport and the comfort of the athletes in it to the maximum. Our detailed offer for handball teams is available by clicking here.

ATHLETICS
The 400-meter outdoor tartan running track with eight lanes in the finish line and six lanes in the curves (plus the renovation of the soccer field surrounded by it), and the 70-meter, six-lane, tartan-coated running corridor and the expansion of the gym and the renovation with the associated changing rooms were implemented in 2018.A detailed introduction of the Athletics Center can be viewed by clicking here.

EQUESTRIAN SPORTS
Ameko Equestrian and Leisure Center was established in 1990.  We are proud to be one of the firstly established, privately owned Equestrian Clubs in Hungary which has been operating ever since. Our riding school is a riding school certified by the Hungarian Equestrian Tourism Association for 4 Horseshoes. Initially we had two horses, but over time, the number of our horses rose to 20. A detailed introduction of the Equestrian Center can be viewed by clicking here.

KISVÁRDA, A SPORTY CITY
In addition to our professional sports teams, we provide additional opportunities for our guests. For water sports enthusiasts, we recommend the 50-meter competition swimming pool, located in the area of Aquacinema Swimming Pool and Slide Park (which can be used by the guests of Várda Sport Hotel free of charge - taking into consideration the opening hours of the swimming pool - every morning from 06:00 to 08:00), as well as our certified medicinal water.  Our Hotel is the only one with direct access to the beach. The River Tisza and Rétközi Lake are only a few kilometres away, where you can go rowing and canoeing. The continuously expanding bike path network offers an excellent chance to get to our sports venue on two wheels.

Gym

Sports enthusiasts have free access to the gym, which is located inside the soccer stadium.
